Changes to routes and times from Sunday 11 March 2018

We’re making improvements to your bus routes in Swindon

From Sunday 11th March we are making changes to some of our bus routes in Swindon, the changes are to improve reliability during weekdays. All of the new timetables will be available very soon via this web page (so check back in about a week for actual times), or you will be able to pick up printed copies from our travel shop from week commencing 26 February – but we will confirm online once they are back from the printers.

The changes are as follows:

Route 1 – the routes stays the same. Monday to Saturday evening times will be revised due to changes to routes 2 and 13/14.
Good news, there will be an earlier Saturday journey between town and Great Western Hospital to relieve the very busy first journey. Time will be added between Outlet Village and Link Centre on Monday to Saturday daytimes, to improve reliability for you.

Route 2 – the route stays the same. Monday to Saturday journeys have been retimed to reflect the changes to routes 1 and 13/14.

Route 5 – The route stays the same. Good news, there will be more buses on a Sunday as the frequency will be increased from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes.  There will also be an earlier Sunday morning service in both directions. Running times will also be increased at certain times throughout the week to keep the service reliable for you.

Route 11 – change to route: Taw Hill - Redhouse - Haydon Wick - Pinehurst - Town Centre - Middle Wichel
The new route reflects the changes we are making to routes 12 and 15. Route 11 will serve Taw Hill rather than Oakhurst (Voyager Drive), which will be served by route 12 instead. Buses on route 15 at Taw Hill will become route 11. Buses operating towards town via Wood Hall will change from route 11 to route 15 at Haydon Wick.

Route 12 – change to route:  Oakhurst - Redhouse - Haydon Wick - Pinehurst - Town Centre – GWH
The new route reflects the changes we are making  to routes 11 and 15. Route 12 will be revised north of Haydon Wick to serve Oakhurst via Redhouse, instead of Highworth via Blunsdon. Abbey Meads and St Andrews Ridge will continue to be served by new route 16, as will Blunsdon in the peaks.

Routes 13/14 – the route stays the same. Monday to Saturday evening times will be altered to reflect the changes to route 2 and 13/14.

Routes 15/15A – change to route: Town Centre - Wood Hall - Taw Hill - Haydon Wick

The inbound, service will run as service 15 from Haydon Wick. Route 15A will be replaced by service 16.

Route 16 – NEW Route: Town Centre - Wood Hall - Haydon End - Haydon Wick - St Andrew's Ridge - (Blunsdon)
This will be a new route to replace route 15A in its entirety between the Bus Station and Haydon Wick and then route 12 between Haydon Wick and St Andrew's Ridge (Blunsdon at peak times).
